PRESENTS AND INVITATION FOR COOPERATION

According to tradition Palilula Municipality celebrated January 27 Saint Sava Day - Savindan. After the reception for the headmasters of the schools from Palilula, organized by the president PhD Igor Novakovic, the Assembly authorities and Palilula Municipal Council members visited the ceremonies that were organized in all educational institutions and many organizations from Palilula. There are seven elementary schools, two special and three high schools.

The pupils and teachers of the branch department in Krusce village of `Desanka Maksimovic` elementary school were visited by Milos Stojkovic, Municipal councilor. He gave to the pupils from this villaga area 54 presents as a sign of local government care about the young people in these Municipal parts.

SAVINDAN - ST SAVA DAY CONNECTS SCHOOLS AND MUNICIPALITY

26.01.2010.

On the occasion of St Sava celebration, the reception for the headmasters from 7 elementary, 2 secondary and 2 special schools from Palilula was organized in the Municipal building.

PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality spoke about the current issues of educational processes and connecting education, science and local self-government. `With our Development Strategy of Municipality we chose education as one of the most significant activities of local self government that should be adapted to the needs of economy and society itself. From this day on we would like Savindan traditionally to establish in a form of this meeting, aiming at the improvement of communication between educational institutions and local government, so that in joint activities we could better approach the solving...

PALILILA REPRESENTATIVE SWIMS FOR HOLLY CROSS‏

19.01.2010.

During this year traditional swimming competition for the HOLLY CROSS, that was organized in Nis on the occasion of Christian celebration of Epiphany, among other 19 contestants, there was Marko Djordjevic -  representative of Palilula. In spite of snow and cold January  weather, many citizens came and cheered the participants of this traditional Christian swim race. Milos Aleksic, from Nis Gendarmerie,   won this year race. The Orthodox Bishop of Nis, Irinej, had blessed all the participants before the race, and then the participants let the white doves fly, as a symbolic gesture.

The swimmers ages from 19 to 63 swam in freezing river water of 0 to 5 Celsius temperature trying to catch the Holly Cross that Bishop Irinej had put in the river.

MUNICIPAL STRATEGY OF SME ENTERPRISES IN PUBLISHED BOOK

11.01.2010.

After the opening the Center for Entrepreneurship in Palilula Municipality, that was opened within the LEDIB programme, with financial help of Danish government, during the ending of the last year the promotion of Strategy for development of small and medium enterprises 2009-2013` was promoted.

Text of this document is the result of many months joint work of the members of multidisciple commission. The strategy of SMEs, projected by the authorities of the Municipality, was adopted the councilors of Palilula Assembly. This is the second published strategy that, after the bringing of `Strategic analyses -strategic developmental plan` in 2008, clearly defined the vision of the development of the Palilula Municipality all the way to 2013. This `blue` edition of the book was printed in 500 copies.
